This is a meal plan designed for a household with kids — meals that adults eat, kids eat, and nobody has to cook twice. Across 7 days you'll see 26 distinct meals built around familiar anchors: pasta with marinara, tacos, baked chicken with rice, grilled cheese with tomato soup, breakfast burritos, mac-and-cheese-but-better. The cuisine palette is American and Italian — not because those are the only kid-friendly cuisines, but because they're the most-tested with picky eaters. The plan holds at 2,000 kcal/day for an adult portion, with the assumption that kid portions scale to roughly 60% (toddlers) or 80% (school age). Sundays are a cook day; weeknight dinners are under 30 minutes; one Friday is leftover-pizza night by design.

Most of the week’s cooking happens on Sunday. Doing the prep up-front means weekday meals come together in 10 minutes or less.
After 7 days you'll have a working repertoire of 8-10 meals the whole household actually eats, plus a sense of which nights are leftover nights and which need fresh cooking. Family meal planning is less about gourmet results and more about systems: who packs lunches, who runs grocery, what's on the fridge whiteboard. The 7-day frame just gives you a template to adapt.
