Whole30 is a 30-day elimination protocol — but the first 7 days are the steepest hill. This plan is exactly that: a one-week sample to see whether full Whole30 is something you want to commit to. The rules per the Whole30 program [1] are absolute: no sugar (real or artificial), no grains, no dairy, no legumes (peanuts and soy included), no alcohol, no carrageenan/MSG/sulfites, and crucially no 'Sex With Your Pants On' recreations (no Whole30 pancakes, no Whole30 pizza). What's left is real: meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, fruit, nuts/seeds, and healthy fats. The plan holds at 2,000 kcal/day. Day 1 starts Sunday; days 3-5 are typically the hardest part of the elimination phase — the practical tips section covers that.

Most of the week’s cooking happens on Sunday. Doing the prep up-front means weekday meals come together in 10 minutes or less.
After 7 days you'll know whether your body responds favorably to the elimination — better sleep, clearer skin, less bloat, more stable energy are the typical reports. If you want the full protocol, extend to 30 days from here; the methodology stays the same. Reintroduction (after day 30) is when the actual diagnostic value emerges: which food group(s) drive your symptoms.
