Air Fryer Chicken Wings with Carrot Sticks

   Prepare the Chicken Wings

   • If your wings are whole, separate them into drumettes and flats, discarding the tips or saving them for stock.
   • Place the wing pieces on a tray lined with paper towels. Pat them completely dry with more paper towels. This step is crucial for achieving crispy skin.

   Season the Wings

   • In a small bowl, whisk together the baking powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
   • In a large, dry bowl, toss the wings with the avocado oil until lightly coated. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the wings and toss thoroughly until every piece is evenly covered.

   Air Fry the Wings

   • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
   • Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Ensure there is space between them for air to circulate; cook in batches if necessary.
   • Air fry for 12 minutes.
   • Using tongs, carefully flip each wing over.
   • Continue to air fry for another 10-13 minutes, or until the wings are deep golden brown, crispy, and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach at least 165°F (74°C).

   Prepare the Buffalo Sauce and Serve

   • While the wings are in their final 5 minutes of cooking, prepare the sauce. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat or in a microwave-safe bowl.
   • Whisk the hot sauce into the melted butter until fully combined and smooth.
   • Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the warm buffalo sauce over the hot wings and toss gently to coat completely.
   • Serve immediately with celery sticks and blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping.
