Grilled Peaches with Greek Yogurt
A delightful and healthy dessert featuring ripe peaches caramelized on the grill, served warm with creamy, cool Greek yogurt and a hint of cinnamon.
For 2 servings
Wash the peaches thoroughly. Using a sharp knife, carefully cut each peach in half around the pit. Twist the halves apart and remove the pit.
Preheat your outdoor grill or a grill pan over medium heat (about 375-400°F / 190-200°C). Lightly brush the cut sides of the peach halves with olive oil to prevent sticking and aid caramelization.
Place the peach halves, cut-side down, directly on the preheated grill grates. Grill for 3-4 minutes, until distinct grill marks appear and the peaches begin to soften.
Flip the peaches to their skin side and grill for another 2-3 minutes, or until the peaches are tender but still hold their shape. The skin might char slightly, which adds to the flavor.
Carefully remove the grilled peaches from the grill. Arrange two halves per serving plate. Dollop a generous amount of plain Greek yogurt over or alongside the warm peaches.
Drizzle with honey or maple syrup to taste, and sprinkle evenly with ground cinnamon. Serve immediately and enjoy the warm and cool contrast.
What to keep in mind.
4 tips from the recipe — small details that make a real difference to the final dish.
- 1Choose Ripe Peaches: Select peaches that are ripe but still firm. Overly soft peaches can become mushy on the grill. Freestone varieties are easier to pit.
- 2Don't Over-Grill: Grill just long enough to get nice char marks and soften the fruit. Over-grilling can make them too soft and lose their structure.
- 3Flavor Boost: For an extra layer of flavor, brush the peaches with a mixture of melted butter and a touch of brown sugar before grilling.
- 4Grill Pan Alternative: If you don't have an outdoor grill, a cast-iron grill pan works perfectly indoors. Ensure it's well-oiled and hot before adding the peaches.
Adapt it for your goals.

Frequently asked questions
While fresh peaches are ideal for grilling due to their firm texture, you can use frozen peach halves. Thaw them completely and pat them very dry before grilling to prevent excess moisture from steaming them.
