- prep
Line the pan with parchment paper.
Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy lifting later. Set aside.
TIPUse two overlapping sheets going opposite directions for the easiest removal. - prep · ~2 min
Melt the white chocolate and peanut butter.
1.Combine 2 cups white chocolate chips and 1 cup creamy peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl.2.Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring well between each, until fully melted and smooth (about 90 seconds total).3.Stir in 1 tsp vanilla extract and 1 pinch of salt until fully incorporated.TIPStop microwaving when there are still a few solid chips — the heat from stirring will melt them the rest of the way so the chocolate doesn't seize. - prep · ~2 min
Melt the semi-sweet chocolate.
In a separate microwave-safe bowl, melt ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips in 30-second bursts, stirring between each, until completely smooth (about 60 seconds).
- assemble · ~1 min
Spread the peanut butter mixture in the pan.
Scrape the white chocolate peanut butter mixture into the prepared pan. Use the spatula to spread it into an even layer all the way to the corners.
- assemble · ~2 min
Swirl the melted chocolate into the fudge.
1.Drizzle the melted semi-sweet chocolate in lines across the surface of the peanut butter layer.2.Immediately drag a butter knife or skewer through the chocolate lines in opposite directions, perpendicular to the lines, to create tiger stripes.3.Lift and gently tap the pan on the counter a few times to release any air pockets.TIPWork quickly here — the peanut butter fudge begins to set fast. Swirl right after pouring the chocolate on top before it hardens. - rest · ~120 min
Chill until set.
Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm to the touch.
TIPFor cleaner cuts, let the fudge sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before slicing. - serve
Slice and serve.
Use the parchment overhang to lift the block of fudge out of the pan. Place on a cutting board and cut into 16 squares with a sharp knife. Serve at room temperature.
TIPWipe the knife clean between cuts for the tidiest squares.
What to keep in mind.
6 tips from the recipe — small details that make a real difference to the final dish.
- 1Use a high-quality white chocolate with cocoa butter for the smoothest melt.
- 2Avoid natural peanut butter, as the oil separation can cause the fudge to be greasy.
- 3Allow the fudge to come to room temperature for 5 minutes before cutting for clean edges.
- 4Wipe your knife after every slice to prevent chocolate streaks on the next piece.
- 5Store tiger butter fudge in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
- 6The fudge freezes beautifully for up to 3 months in a sealed freezer bag.
Adapt it for your goals.
Crunchy
Swap creamy peanut butter for crunchy for added texture; every bite will have little peanut pieces.
dark chocolate swirlDark chocolate swirl
Use dark chocolate chips (70% cacao) instead of semi-sweet for a more intense, less sweet contrast.
sea salt finishSea salt finish
Just before the fudge sets, sprinkle flaky sea salt over the top to enhance both the sweet and savory notes.
Why this is on our healthy list.

Contains Antioxidants
Semi-sweet chocolate is rich in flavonoids, which can help protect your cells from oxidative stress.
Frequently asked questions
White chocolate is sensitive to heat and moisture; steam or overheating can cause it to seize. Use low power and stop microwaving while a few chips remain solid.
