Lime & Mint Infused Water
This sugar-free Lime & Mint Infused Water is the ultimate refreshing drink, perfect for boosting hydration on a hot day or anytime you need a delicious, guilt-free pick-me-up.
For 1 serving
Wash the lime thoroughly and slice it into thin rounds or wedges. Set aside a small slice for garnish if desired.
Gently rinse the fresh mint leaves. Place 5-6 mint leaves into the bottom of a tall drinking glass.
Using the back of a spoon or a muddler, gently press the mint leaves a few times to release their aromatic oils. Be careful not to tear them completely, just bruise them slightly.
Add the lime slices to the glass with the muddled mint. You can also give the lime a gentle press to release some juice.
Fill the glass generously with ice cubes, about 1 cup's worth, or to your preference.
Pour 1 cup of sparkling water over the ice, lime, and mint. For a more intense flavor, let it sit for a minute or two.
Stir gently with a spoon to combine the flavors. Garnish with an extra lime slice or a fresh mint sprig if you like.
Serve immediately and enjoy this refreshing, sugar-free beverage.
What to keep in mind.
4 tips from the recipe — small details that make a real difference to the final dish.
- 1For a stronger mint and lime flavor, prepare a larger batch in a pitcher and let it infuse in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- 2Always use cold sparkling water and chilled ingredients for the best refreshing experience.
- 3If you prefer a less intense flavor, you can reduce the number of mint leaves or lime slices.
- 4To make this drink even colder without diluting it, consider using ice cubes made from sparkling water or lime juice.
Adapt it for your goals.
